This is my first and so far only tatto, and it’s a tribute to my dad, who I always called my Papa Bear; he passed away suddenly in March 2009. The sparrow has always been something I considered my own little spirit animal, and in my tattoo he is helping to carry a banner reading “What a Wonderful World,” me & my dad’s song. I was blown away by the amazing art work Rich Depue from Dead Presidents Lounge in Albany, NY, permanently inked on my side. Love, love, love.
These are my knuckle tattoos. I got all of them done at once and let me tell you….OUCH! Haha, the bigger of the knuckles didn’t hurt quite as bad as the spaces above my finger nails…WOW did that kill.
They were done around Lubbock, TX.
I got the word “BELIEVE” because i have never been very confident, and have always been very insecure about myself. I have been through a lot..but unlike some, it has made me stronger. Recently things have gone great in my life, hence “believing” in myself and others, more.
The second row of knuckles include:
Music notes (my love for music or all genres)
Smiley Face (to keep a smile on my face when i’m feeling down)
Zodiac Symbol (Capricorn, my fascination for Astrology)
A Camera (I have a photography business)
Birds (resembling a free spirit)
^3^ (an icon my boyfriend & I find silly, it looks like a fishface)
Cross (either upside down or rightside up, my confusion in faith)
4 leaf Clover (being full irish)
Then the last row:
Rewind, Play/Pause, Stop, Fast forward buttons.
(wishing i could control time)
The phrase “d e r p”..
(for the simple face that i derp all the time)

This was my first tattoo that I started when I was eighteen.
